Klingt wie tanzen wollen , feiern wollen .... wie wir , eine gute Mischung ...aus Freaks aller Art FREAK OUT with us

zuerst war ein Fest , in einem Garten , dann ein Proberaum in einer Gasse , ... ** F R E A K R E S O R T ** war geboren ... durch einen Jam in einem Garten Wiens , lernten sich die 4 Freaks kennen, Fips , Josi, Alex und Gigi beschlossen miteinander zu spielen , komponieren und die Band schlecht hin zu werden . Fips der sich auch als DJ sowie als Gitarrist einen Namen gemacht hatte , wurde der Haus und Hofkomponist der Band . Womit er Gigi , die sich für den Gesang auszeichnet , endlich den lang ersehnten Teppich bietet welchen sich sich immer wünschte. Mit Josi (bass) und Alex ( keys) waren sie zwar ein Quartett , doch fehlte der Rythmus wo man mit muß, und die Suche began , und führte zu Markus. Mit Markus startete FREAK RESORT dann durch... viele Gigs in der Wiener Musikszene ( OST-Klub, Badeschiff, Cabaret Renz,Cafe Carina..uvm.) , machten sie bald zu dem Geheimtipp der Szene. Dann trennte sich Markus aus privaten Gründen von FREAK RESORT , an dieser Stelle , ein Dankeschön für die guten Tage mit ihm. Das Finden eines neuen Schlagzeugers begann. Keine Woche später ward er gefunden: Dav ! Somit konnte den lang ersehnten Studioaufnahmen nichts mehr im Wege stehen. *dann ein Studio in einer Strasse... FREAK RESORT hat sich im Studio 12 auf Band verewigen lassen. Mit ihrer Debut-CD :RESPECT ! starten sie nun in den Sommer. die Geschichte von FREAK RESORT in noch lange nicht zu Ende erzählt.

The Lance - Biography


The Lance formed in January 2007 by Olle Hägg and Gustav Good. We had no jobs, no money and nothing to live on. The Lance was a simple act of desperation and an insane obsession for rock n roll music. We had two screaming guitars but we still needed a bass to back us up. Our friend Micke Bojfeldt was the only one we knew who could play a mean bass guitar and talk rubbish at the same time so he was our obvious choice for the job. Although we knew from previous experience that most drummers were idiots we found this guy Dan Lif in a basement in Borlänge. We put him up for a quick audition and he totally blew our minds with his rhythmic and frenetic style of swinging the sticks. We were then a quartet and we became The Lance. The Lance by the way was the obvious band name for us because it’s nonsense. A lot of the things we do is nonsense and nonsense is what we can identify ourselves with. The true meaning of the Lance is four stupid fools. Handsome and clever fools I might add.


At the first rehearsal we all sat down in Dan’s basement with only old guitars and old amplifiers at hand. We didn’t have any freaky effects or any overdrive pedals. We just turned the volume up and suddenly we had our own sound. Raw, natural drive with some help from electricity.


About a year later here we are with the same old raw sound, same old style and the same members. We’ve done a number of recordings in an old, small studio in Borlänge. To print our sound on the records we’ve recorded all of our songs live, just like in the glory days of true rock n roll. Our records will prove our abilities as true musicians and give our fans a true image of how we sound on stage. We’re just four guys with a passion for rock n roll, nothing more, nothing less. Rock n roll is alive and in it’s pride, and as long as the Lance is on the loose, it won’t die.


We’re doing now what bands did over 40 years ago, but we do it in our own way without guidelines. We’re simple poor lads from a small town playing true rock n roll music the way it is meant to be played.


And I’m used to say "Anyone who claims rock n roll is dead is wrong, way out wrong". Rock n roll is alive and in it’s pride, and as long as the Lance is on the loose, it won’t die.

DEUTSCH

Es war irgendwann Ende 2004. Nach unserem letzten Gig der 2-jaehrigen Tour war schon ziemlich die Luft 'raus, eigentlich hingen wir nur mehr lustlos an unseren Instrumenten. Kein Bock auf gar nichts. Die Aufloesung der Band hing unausgesprochen im Raum, als ploetzlich ER im Tuerrahmen stand.

Wir konnten es kaum fassen, ihn zu sehen. Wortlos ging er an uns vorbei, schnappte sich ein Instrument und begann zu spielen - so wie wir es von ihm noch nie gehoert hatten! Wo war er nur solange gewesen....?

H i n t e r d e n K u l i s s e n

Myob entschloss sich im Fruehling 2005 eine CD mit seinen Songs zu produzieren. Darauf hin traf sich die Band regelmaessig im Studio um die Songs für das Album zu arrangieren.

In den darauf folgenden 2 Jahren wurde mit viel Liebe zum Detail an den Songs herum gefeilt, bis sie schließlich im Gateway Records Studio mit der Unterstuetzung guter Freunde und Musikerkollegen aufgenommen wurden.

Ein bunter Haufen an sehr kreativen und musikalischen Menschen bildet den Kern von Myobs Band.

Jeder von ihnen lebt sein eigenes Leben und verfolgt seine Ziele. Doch in dieser Band ziehen sie alle an einem Strang, um Myobs Vision umzusetzen.

It was at some point in late 2004. After having performed our last gig sofar after two years on the road, the tide had turned and we were actually just half-heartedly strumming our instruments. We were not up for anything. The band's breakup was in the air...all of sudden HE appeared in the doorway.

We could barely believe that he was there. He passed us without a single word, snatched up a guitar and started playing - he played like he had never ever done before! Where had he been all this time....?

In spring 2005, Myob decided to produce a CD album with original songs. This lead to the band regularly meeting at their project studio for arranging songs for this album.

The two years to follow saw them submerged in carefully developing the songs in detail until they were finally recorded at Gateway Records Studio, with a little help from close friends and fellow-musicians.

A "motley crew" of highly creative and musical talents are at the core of Myob's band project.

Each of the band members lives his own life and pursues his own goals. Still, when it comes to this band, they all pull together to make Myob's vision come true.
